CSC Design was commissioned to transform a 1970s, out-of-date, traditional church into a state-of-the-art modern church, creating a welcoming and contemporary space for the congregation. Upon entering, one is immediately welcomed by the transformation. The contemporary welcome center, designed with light wood veneers and a green wall, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Photographs of the smiling faces of the congregation further enhance the welcoming feel. The theme continues across the hall, with a beverage and snack station and gathering areas carrying forward the light veneers, wood, and green wall theme.
The sanctuary received the greatest transformation, blending traditional elements with a contemporary approach. The beautiful stained-glass windows were preserved, while the light-colored veneer from the entry was carried through onto the ceiling. The black-out stage provides optimal optics for recording and special lighting, creating a striking contrast. The sanctuary was transformed with state-of-the-art lighting, a sound system, and an engagement screen.
Additionally enhanced areas included a teen suite equipped with modern amenities to cater to the needs of the youth. The kitchen was upgraded with state-of-the-art appliances, ensuring functionality and efficiency. ADA compliance areas were added to the exterior, making the church accessible to all.
