The City of Kennesaw, Georgia has seen a pattern of steady growth over the last decade, causing space at City Hall to be at a premium. The growing demands of the Public Works and Community Development departments require additional space and greater efficiency of their office space. Additionally, the Department of Community Development required an attractive facility to host developers seeking to meet with the City regarding interest in new developments.
The Department of Public Works was designed for the first floor, providing ease of access for Kennesaw residents. The department of Community Development, which includes zoning and building code enforcement, was relocated from City Hall to the 2nd floor of the building. Private offices, conference rooms and a breakroom were designed with areas which provided for future growth. This project also included the installation of a new elevator to the second floor.
