This design-build project engaged the CSC Design team of Architects and Civil Engineers to design a custom solution for the latest Murray Ford Dealership in Kingsland, Georgia. This project is designed to provide the greatest impact on the dealer’s bottom line for a new 41,000 square-foot Ford Signature Dealership based on the Ford prototype stand-alone 1000PV floor plan. Preliminary value engineering allowed adjustments to the prototypical design. These adjustments were made to meet the Murray Ford budget and local design constraints for hurricane and flood protection along Georgia’s coast. This facility has twenty-eight repair bays and associated parts and tire storage areas.
Site planning included locating and constructing the new dealership behind the existing dealership while keeping the existing facility operational during construction. Upon completion of the new dealership, the existing dealership was demolished, and the parking lot expanded.
The design includes a new curved entry tower with an extensive brand wall. The entry tower and brand wall each feature the blue Ford oval signage, entering onto the Murray Ford insignia. Major interior elements include terrazzo floors and new Ford blue accent walls throughout customer areas. Highlighted off the sales floor is an expansive customer waiting area with a beverage center, Parts Department, and Ford Accessory wall. In addition, a new reception desk, credenza, and service writer desks were added. Modifications included four additional service bays, eliminating one vehicle lift, and including an overhead door for pass-thru service traffic.
